Kathy truly knows how to live her best life and shows it to the world. She is strong, positive, and never complains. One of many things that makes her special is her selflessness – she always puts others first and never expects anything.

She is a sister, mom, aunt, grandma and friend to many! She graduated USC and has always been hard working and on top of her game. She is very involved in our family and is very outgoing. She goes to all of her nephews and nieces sporting events and now she gets to love on her grandson every day. In our family she’s in charge of wrapping everyone's gifts for all holidays as she is a pro with bows, ribbons, and the cutest paper. If she’s not the one wrapping for us, then presents will end up in any random bag with a name sharpied on it! When she gives gifts to people she always puts thought into it to show them she really listens and knows what each person would want, need or love.

Lastly, anyone who knows her knows her love for cowboys! She was able to live her dream and visit Wyoming recently where she enjoyed the cowboy lifestyle by helping on the ranch and watching the cowboys work with horses, calves, branding, and more.

Aunt Kathy is a 1 ½ year pancreatic cancer survivor and we celebrate her today by dedicating a race!

When you make a donation in support of pancreatic cancer research, you’re helping the Hirshberg Foundation and our researchers get closer to a cure. Funding scientific advances and programs for patients and families helps provide resources today and offers hope for a cancer-free world in the future.
